If you have a particular service or product that relates to other specific business trades or other services, then you have a client base waiting to be tapped into via their clients. If you have a web site, there is something called link swapping that could benefit your site, and theirs. Make a links page or just place the links on your main page. Now you need to make a link swapping script or code that you can trade with other business's that will lead people to your site. Now go grab your yellow pages. Find the type of business's that are closely related to your own, and call them. Ask to speak to whoever is in charge, regarding their company assets. When you get ahold of that person, feel free to discuss the link swapping matter however you feel like. As long as your link appears on their site, your mission is accomplished, if not, move on until you can get the mission accomplished. You will need to do this over and over again. Try setting a goal for the week of how many business's you would like to link swap with, and do everything you can to meet that goal. You don't even have to call the business's that are related to yours, just call them.


If you decide to check out the Direct Mail advertisement options, then you can do just about the same with this. What you can do with Direct Mail is to call up business's and ask them if they would like to place an ad in your flyer that you are going to be sending to x amount of people. Charge them whatever you feel comfortable with to place their ad in your Direct Mail ad. Offer several different options if you feel like it, but whatever you do, just make sure their ad's will pay for it and possibly put some extra money in your pocket.
